Eng. Daniel Murenzi is the chairman of Rwanda Diaspora Global Network taking the coordination role and giving the strategic direction to the Global Network. He is a computer engineer and a project management expert specializing in communication management and management of e-Goverment systems with local, regional and international experience. He holds BSc. Eng. Honours degree from Kigali Institute of Technology (KIST), MSc in Communication Management from KIST with partnership with University of convetry in United Kingdom. Eng. Daniel is currently Principal Information Technology Officer for the East African Community and prior to that he was an e-Health and Informatics officer for East African Community implementing key regional integration projects, one of major regional projects including the development of integrated Information system for registration of regional medicines under Medicines Regulation and harmonization project. Daniel is a member of several technical steering committees both on National level, Regional level (East African Community) and international basically for implementation of e-health applications (Open MRS, DHIS 2,iHRS). For the past 8 years, Daniel has Implemented several projects in Ministry of Health Rwanda. Daniel is a board member of several boards both regional and International level; he is also on advisory board of African Centre for eHealth Excellence (Acfee). The African Centre for eHealth Excellence (Acfee) has embarked on a journey to develop eHealth’s capacity and leadership for African countries to support improved health outcomes for their people.
